When you buy a Hill Triber product, 70% of the money you spend returns to the artisan who made it. Like any artist selling handicrafts at markets, a small part of the product price covers supplies and overhead expenses. We also rely on donations to offset the cost of sewing machines, looms, and other equipment, as well as the meeting space, educational supplies and administrative costs.
For the first four years of Hill Country Hill Tribers, the non-profit was completely volunteer run. The project has grown so significantly that it is no longer possible for us to meet the needs of the artisans or the demand for Hill Triber products as volunteers. We are currently raising money through grants and fundraising campaigns to cover the operating costs of our growing business. If you are interested in helping fund our program, please donate to our English on Wheels program. If you would like to help in other ways, please contact us.
